Recipe: Mary’s Spicy Hot Chili

This dish, with your personal modifications, is a great starter for Coronado’s next Chili Cook-Off

Ingriedients:

2-3 tablespoons Olive Oil
1-2 cloves garlic, chopped
1-1 1/2 pounds Hot Italian sausages, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1-1 1/2 pounds Tritip steaks, cubed
6-8 multi colored mini sweet peppers, chopped
Pinch Chili pepper, to taste
Pinch crushed red pepper, to taste
Pinch cayenne pepper, to taste
2 serano peppers, chopped
1 lg Jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 lg sweet onion, chopped
2 cans red kidney beans
2 cans white kidney beans
2 cans black beans
1-1 1/4 cups beef broth depending on thickness preferred
3-4  vine ripened Roma tomatoes chopped
Sea Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Sauté Italian sausage, garlic and steak in olive oil over high heat, add all other ingredients and cook over medium high heat until bubbling. Turn heat to low and simmer for a good couple hours, maybe even three (it can simmer for hours if desired).

Serve with tortilla chips, Fish crackers, Corn chips, Sour cream, Cheddar cheese and enjoy.

Adjust the heat by adjusting the peppers used, this recipe is spicy!?
