Coronado Island Itineraries

1 Day On Coronado Island

– Have breakfast in the Village & cruise down Orange Avenue to enjoy the shopping.
– Walk or rent bikes down to Ferry Landing to enjoy the San Diego skyline and bay views.
– Have lunch at a Ferry Landing restaurant and soak in more of the view.
– If on bikes follow the winding path that runs along the bay, under the bridge and along the golf course.
– Tour the hotel and walk out on the pristine white sandy beaches of Coronado.
– Stay to watch the sunset over Point Loma then walk back onto Orange Avenue to dine.

3 Days On Coronado Island (Do all the above and…)

– Take the ferry (runs every hour) over to downtown San Diego or to Seaport Village and the Midway.
– Spend half a day soaking up the sun at the beach or take your dog down to the very popular dog beach (north beach).
– Drive 10 minutes over the bridge and go to Balboa Park (museums, theatre, eat at the Prado)
– Enjoy a sunset gondola cruise through Coronado Cays (catch it at Loews).
– Book a room at a Coronado hotel or resort.

7 Days On Coronado Island (Do all the above and…)

– Explore the Coronado history museum on Orange Ave.
– Enjoy a round of golf at the beautiful public golf course on the bay.
– Sea World (15 minutes away).
– World Famous San Diego Zoo (10 minutes away).
– Take in a Padres baseball game at Petco Park (short drive or you can take a water taxi there).
– Shopping, dining, and night life in the Gas Lamp District. (10 minutes away).
– Legoland (40 minutes away).
– Wild Animal Park (45 minutes away).
– Book a room at a Coronado hotel or resort.

30 Days On Coronado Island (Do all the above and…)

It’s very popular in the summer for Coronado enthusiasts to rent a house and have an extended vacation to truly enjoy a slice of life on the island. Then you will feel like a local and never want to leave. In addition to the activities listed above, you might also want to consider the following:

– Swim laps at the Municipal pool while watching boats sail on the bay.
– Take in a concert-in-the-park (don’t forget to bring dinner)
– Rent jet skis, kayaks, surfboards or a sailboat to get out in the water.
– Attend church at one of our great island churches.
– Spend a day in La Jolla, Del Mar or Pacific Beach to explore other beach communities.

– Take Interstate 5 heading South
– Exit right onto Coronado Bay Bridge / 75
– Cross over Coronado Bay Bridge (take in the amazing view)
– Welcome to paradise!

– Turn right onto Orange Avenue to reach the bayside and Ferry Landing
– Turn left onto Orange Avenue to reach downtown, the beach and the Hotel Del Coronado
