Join the Spreckels Center for Passport to Cooking! These 3-hour courses will highlight and focus on different regions and cuisines around the globe. Participants will receive a complete menu with printed recipe cards that include a starter, main course, and dessert from one region each month. Our first destination will be New Orleans with Cajun and Creole style cooking.
Demonstration of specific techniques and knowledge of the ingredients, cultural background, and history of the dishes will be integrated into the class. Each class will incorporate the different culture or ethnicity’s dishes through a communal-style cooking adventure of group preparation and will conclude with a fun, family-style meal. Spots are limited; preregistration required.
