A 44-year-old Coronado resident was found unresponsive in the water near North Beach just after 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Lifeguards pulled the victim from the water and emergency responders administered CPR but were unable to revive the man. The man may have had a medical condition.
The Medical Examiners office will take over the investigation into the exact cause of death.
