Cops and Robbers: Gift Card Theft and Gift Card Fraud (9/14/18-9/30/18)

Thanks to the Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

Crimes:

9/25/17: Vandalism near 1600 block of Glorietta Boulevard

Unknown suspect used white spray paint to write an illegible sign on the north wall of the location. The cost to remove the spray paint is $500.

9/22/18-9/26/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 1500 block of Orange Avenue

Unknown suspect entered a locked office inside of the Hotel del Coronado and stole six American Express gift cards totaling to $300.

9/21/18-9/25/18: Grand Theft Property near 800 block of C Avenue

Unknown suspect stole victim’s unlocked mountain bike, located in front of his residence at the location. The stolen bicycle is valued at $2,000.

9/21/18: Battery near 1100 block of Orange Avenue

Victim was in the restroom of McP’s Irish Pub, when she was struck by a female.

9/14/18: Obtaining Money by False Pretenses near 400 block of G Avenue

Victim sent gift card information to the suspect, who was impersonating a friend, via email. The value of the cards totaled $600.

9/25/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 800 block of First Street

22 year old male

9/25/18: Inflicting Corporal Injury on Spouse/Cohabitant – Felony near 300 block of G Avenue

44 year old male

9/25/18: Burglary of the First Degree – Felony near 300 block of Fourth Street

34 year old female

9/23/18: Driving with Willful Disregard for Safety – Felony near 1000 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

35 year old male

9/22/18: Outside Warrant on Felony Charge – Felony near 1100 block of Fourth Street

24 year old male

9/20/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1700 block of Silver Strand Boulevard
