Golf: CHS Boys Lose Two at Home

After starting their season out strong last week, Coronado’s boys’ golf team took two tough losses this past week. The first match this week on Monday was played against Del Norte High School. In a nine-hole game, senior Mateo Valles was Coronado’s top performer, who shot a score of 38 strokes on his home course. Senior Blanchard Seniff and Sophomore Gino Frederick both followed in shots, shooting scores of 42 and 43 strokes, respectively. Overall, Del Norte led Coronado at the end, 201-221.

Again on Wednesday, Coronado played at their home course; this time against Poway High School. Seniff was the top scorer, shooting a total of 45 strokes. The final score determined Poway the winner, 218-243.
