Childhood Cancer Awareness Month continues at Blue Bridge Hospitality

Join Blue Bridge Hospitality and millions of Americans across the Nation in observance of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. In the U.S., 15,780 children under the age of 21 are diagnosed with cancer every year; approximately 1/4 of them will not survive the disease. A diagnosis turns the lives of the entire family upside down. The objective of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is to put a spotlight on the types of cancer that largely affect children, survivorship issues, and – importantly – to help raise funds for research and family support.

Did you know an estimated 50,000 children are fighting cancer in hospitals today? This staggering statistic inspired Team Parker 4 Life’s, Game Changer 4 Life program in hopes of boosting children’s morale during hospital stays. Thanks to Game Changer 4 Life, kids can now participate in games and interact with other children in the hospital using 2-way radios, even when they’re in isolation due to extreme illness.

Donate new, unwrapped board games, puzzles, card games, ipads, ipods, kindles, two-way radios, family friendly video games and gift cards to MooTime Creamery, Village Pizzeria, Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q or Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge, and receive a $5 Blue Bridge Hospitality gift certificate for every item donated! Once collected, Team Parker for Life will distribute the games to kids at children’s hospitals around the country!
