Enroll Your Child in CSF Summer Enrichment Starting April 7th


Looking for fun, innovative summer programs for your kids this summer? Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) is offering fun and innovative STEAM-inspired (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) classes through its Coronado Summer Enrichment Program from June 16th to July 3rd. Back for the third year, these classes will now be held in three one-week sessions – sign your kids up for one, two, or all three! Classes will be held at Coronado Middle School (CMS) from 9:00am-12:00pm with the Coronado Recreation Department again coordinating with CSF and offering Camp Coronado from 12:00-6:00pm for those needing additional childcare.

With awesome classes ranging from Rock Guitar, 3D Photosculpting, and Robotics to Geometry Rocks, Español Made Easy, and Game, Set, Math! & Tennis, classes are taught by credentialed teachers under the direction of Principal Kathy Shady. Classes are open to ALL kids in grades K-12 with grade-level specific options such as Jump Start Kindergarten, Crossing Sixth to CHS? Bridge to 9th Grade, and Make a Statement, Writing the College Application Essay.

New this year is Learning to Lead (7th-10th), taught by CMS Teacher Toni Trinidad, for budding leaders which will include inspiring coursework as well as classroom leadership role opportunities. Adventures in English gives English language learners a fun environment to explore English in a relaxed environment that encourages language learning.

Back by popular demand are special three-week classes CoSA Musical Theatre & Drama and SAT Test Prep. Musical Theatre will be held at the CHS Performing Arts Center, open to kids entering grades 5-12, with a final production for friends and family on July 3rd. SAT Prep is taught by Steve Reiss, owner of Reiss SAT Seminars and The Math Magician, and held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am-12:00pm with ten practice tests and a take-home book.

Registration opens April 7th online at www.coronadoenrichment.org. Walk-in registration will also be accepted Monday-Friday, 10:00am-12:00pm at the CSF office, 201 Sixth Street. Classes are reasonably priced at approximately $149 for a five-day session. A limited number of scholarships are available, made possible by generous donors. CSF thanks these donors as well as community partners Boney’s Bayside Market, Coronado Rotary Club, F.O.C.U.S., and Mullins Orthodontics for making Coronodo Summer Enrichment Possible. Donations are still welcome for scholarships for families in economic need.
