Mayor Casey Tanaka presents a Coronado Proclamation to Captain Len Kaine, USN-retired, president of the Golden Rule Society. The Proclamation designates the first week of October 2010 as Golden Rule Society week in Coronado.
Mayor Tanaka also nominated the Golden Rule Society for the “2010 San Diego Veterans Allegiance Award” recognizing the non-paid volunteers who support our Troops and Veterans.
In a separate nomination from Vice Admiral Edward H. Martin, Kaine was nominated as the “2010 – 2011 San Diego County Veteran of the Year” for his 38 years of volunteer service to those who defend our freedoms.
