The Coronado Boathouse is finalizing plans for a special lunch and concert event, to be held on Saturday April 3rd, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The event will benefit San Diego charity, Stand Up for Kids, which is focused on helping homeless teens transition from living on the streets. Like so many charities, Stand Up for Kids has been financially challenged in these economic times.
This special event will feature not only lunch specials, but door prizes, as well, with each adult attending receiving entry into the drawings. Just two of the prizes to be given away at the event include:
* A weekend stay at the beautiful Coronado Beach Resort, complete with a romantic bottle of wine and signature wine glasses, amenities basket and chocolates.
* A one night stay in the Glorietta Bay Inn, the Historical Landmark mansion, with champagne upon arrival and walking tour tickets to historical sites on the island.
Music for this special event will feature the smooth jazz of NovaMenco. This family of musicians has been based in San Diego for over 15 years. Ever since their debut album landed in the 1998 Billboard Charts, they have been pleasing audiences with their modern flamenco style, presenting a unique blend of Jazz and soft Mediterranean grooves.
