On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Coronado Islanders girls soccer team fell short to a well developed La Costa Canyon squad. The final score was 3-1, with sophomore Riley Mcgrath putting one behind the net.
Even after that setback, the girls were confident to play under home field lights on Thursday where they triumphed over Escondido 2-0. Goals were scored by sophomore, Lana Allari-Smith and junior, Ella Worthy.
The girls are now 3-1 and their next game is this afternoon at University City.
