Crimes:
9/1/19: Petty Theft near 900 block of Ocean Boulevard
Victim lost an Apple iPhone 7 at the beach. Unknown suspect took the phone, and it was later discovered to be in the city of Hemet. The iPhone is valued at approximately $900.
8/29/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 500 block of F Avenue
Unknown suspect vandalized victim’s rear right passenger window of his green Subaru Outback. No items were stolen or missing from the victim’s vehicle. The damage repair cost is approximately $100.
8/29/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 700 block of C Avenue
Victim reported her front right passenger window was broken.
8/28/19-8/29/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 300 block of Ocean Boulevard
Unknown suspect vandalized the interior walls of a public restroom and sidewalk using a black marker pen.
8/26/19: Petty Theft near 300 block of Orange Avenue
Unknown suspect took the victim’s package that contained school supplies for her daughter. The loss is valued at $50.
8/22/19: Attempted Robbery near 900 block of Orange Avenue
Suspect entered the Sunglass Hut retail store, and within less than two minutes of being in the store, suspect removed three large trays from a drawer under the display counter. The trays contained 47 sunglasses with a retail value of over $15,000.
8/20/19-8/21/19: Petty Theft near 800 block of F Avenue
Unknown suspect removed a bicycle that was locked to itself in the front yard. The stolen property was valued at approximately $115.
8/15/19: Fraudulent Use of Card Information near 1000 block of Park Place
On three separate occasions, unknown suspect used fraudulent credit cards to purchase bottles of liquor. The business became aware after the credit card charges were disputed. The total loss value was $549.58.
