Cops and Robbers: Burglary Results in $5,400 Loss (8/11/19-8/21/19)

Crimes:

8/21/19: Petty Theft near 1500 block of Orange Avenue

Unknown suspect took the victim’s gold wedding band from a restroom. The stolen property is valued at approximately $600.

8/21/19: Burglary of the First Degree near 2000 block of Second Street

Unknown suspect forced entry into an uninhabited villa and stole two Louis Vuitton bags filled with personal items. The total monetary loss of the stolen items is estimated at $5,400.

8/20/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 500 block of Grand Caribe Cay

Unknown suspect used a blue paint marker to vandalize a sign pole at Grand Caribe Shoreline Park.

8/20/19: Grand Theft Property near 1500 block of Orange Avenue

At around 7:30 PM, victim locked his bicycle to a mounted fence on the northside of the Windsor Cottage located at the Hotel Del Coronado. He returned to retrieve his bicycle at around 10:30 pm and discovered his bicycle and lock had been stolen. The total monetary loss for the lock and the bike is $6,118.

8/19/19-8/20/19: Petty Theft near 1500 block of First Street

A locked bicycle was stolen from the community bicycle rack. The bike was valued at $300.

8/18/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 800 block of Olive Avenue

Unknown suspect vandalized the street sign on the corner of Eighth Street and Olive Avenue.

8/18/19: Burglary of the First Degree near 100 block of Kingston West Court

Unknown suspect entered the victims’ residence, vandalizing a set of vertical blinds, breaking the bottom of a dresser drawer, and damaging house a plant. Additionally, a colored plant pot was removed from the residence. The cost to repair and replace the damaged property was estimated at approximately $400.

8/17/19-8/18/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 900 block of F Avenue

Unknown suspect vandalized a street sign on the southwest corner of Ninth Street and F Avenue.

8/17/19: Grand Theft Property near 1800 block of Strand Way

Unknown suspect stole the victim’s bicycle from the bicycle rack at the Coronado Community Center. The estimated loss value for the bike is $2,000.

8/13/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 500 block of Seventh Street

A pellet fired from a pellet gun dented (with paint damage) the driver-side, rear passenger door of the victim’s vehicle.

8/11/19: Sexual Battery near 500 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

A fourteen-year-old juvenile sexually assaulted another fourteen-year-old juvenile on two separate occasions while attending a summer camp at Camp Surf.

8/17/19: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 200 block of Eighth Street

20 year old male

8/17/19: Evading Peace Officer With Wanton Disregard – Felony near 100 block of J Street

51 year old male

8/16/19: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1900 block of Strand Way

57 year old male
