Beach Polo returns to Hotel del Coronado on September 1,2,3, 2017. Fans will once again see twelve polo players and fifty horses compete on Hotel Del’s private beach. The sport of kings couldn’t pick a more picturesque venue with the iconic Hotel del Coronado on one side and the ocean on the other.
Beach Polo at Hotel del Coronado is the “it” place to be over Labor Day weekend. Those who like to party and enjoy fine dining in a pampered atmosphere are in for a treat at the Polo America Beach Polo Cup. The backdrop created to watch high goal polo teams compete is right out of Jay Gatsby’s playbook. The Party begins Friday evening, September 1st, as the 8,000 square foot VIP Tent is turned into a giant cocktail lounge to watch polo. The front row of the tent is designated as Millionaire’s Row. Ten luxurious boxes feature white leather furniture with seating for ten. There is a Friday night fashion contest in the VIP Tent for Men. The attire is white tuxedo / dinner jacket, black tie and colorful surfer shorts. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Woman and Best Dressed Couple.
On Saturday and Sunday, September 2 & 3, guests can choose between a box in Millionaire’,s Row, a Gold VIP table or a combination of both. The Gold VIP seating is on the front row of the second terrace in the VIP Tent. Attendees are treated to a formal three-course luncheon and wine provided by Hotel del Coronado. Grayse will have informal modeling during lunch each day. Millionaire’s Row Box catering menus will offer guests a wide array of gastronomic treats.
On Sunday, September 3rd, hats take center stage as spectators compete for the Most Elegant, Most Original and Humorous Hat.
For shopping, attendees can visit the Polo Village on the third terrace of the VIP Tent where they can purchase everything from a new Porsche, a Silver Seas Yacht, luxurious watches from Westime, charter a jet through Schubach Aviation, Peter Lik Fine Art or a new wardrobe from Grayse or Bradys.
If polo weren’t enough, Polo America will offer Millionaire’s Row attendees the opportunity to participate in the Porsche Million Dollar Road Rally. Each participant on a team of three will drive a 2018 Porsche to accomplish three tasks that will involve a Silver Seas yacht, a Berkshire Hathaway ten million dollar estate and a million dollars worth of Westime watches. The winning team from the weekend will receive passes to the new Porsche Experience in Los Angeles.
For anyone who has ever wanted to learn to play polo, we will have lessons available on Friday, September 1st from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 2nd from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM and Sunday, September 3rd from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
