I would like to support the candidacy of Carrie Downey for Mayor of Coronado. I have known Carrie for 22 years in both the Navy and her private law practice. She is without doubt the most qualified person for the mayoral position. In fact, she already has experience as Mayor Pro Tem in 2006-2008. She has the character, personality, training and experience most relevant. She is a person who is all about people, talking to them, listening and representing them on the City Council. Her 10 years on the City Council cannot be beaten. She has learned Coronado City Government from the bottom up, from client to mayor. She has a proven track record of public service, with 9 years in the Navy and 10 years on the Council. She is especially competent in public relations, public management and environmental law – all three areas critical to a successful Mayor.

I wholeheartedly recommend Carrie for Mayor and unreservedly support her candidacy. She is the best, and Coronado deserves the best.

  Respectfully,

  RG Head
