On Friday, September 9, 250 guests gathered at Loews Coronado Bay Resort to Play on the Bay in support of local education. The evening consisted of spectacular food, drinks, live music, gondola rides, a silent auction and more on the bay.

“We were thrilled to host our first annual Play on the Bay event at Loews Coronado Bay Resort to benefit DonorsChoose.org. Our guests enjoyed a wonderful evening at our resort while supporting public school teachers and their local classrooms. We were able to raise $50,000 to assist local school teachers with the supplies and equipment they need to teach our children.” said Sean Clancy, Managing Director at Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

DonorsChoose.org is the national charity for Loews Hotels. It is an online organization that empowers public school teachers from across the country to request much needed materials and experiences for their students. The money raised from this event will go towards public schools across San Diego County.
