Car procession for Annual Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival to take place today in Coronado

The kick-off and celebration of all things automobiles for the 17th Annual Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival will officially begin today with a car procession from the makeshift speedway on Naval Air Station North Island to Rotary Park in Coronado. More than 40 automobiles of all kinds are expected to join the procession. The procession will begin at Naval Air Station North Island, will travel down Fourth Avenue to Orange, and will end at Rotary Park in Coronado, CA (split between Isabella and Orange Avenues). The procession will end at approximately 3:45pm at Rotary Park with a celebration.

More than 25,000 are expected to attend the highly anticipated Speed Festival event, slated for September 20-21, 2014 in Coronado, CA. Located on the most distinctive race track location in the country—Naval Air Station North Island—the two day festival features fast-paced, exhilarating auto racing, rare exhibitions and pays tribute to the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.
