Cyclist Hit Near Coronado Golf Course Entrance

Yesterday afternoon, a male cyclist in his 70s was hit while riding in the bike lane in front of the Coronado Golf Course entrance. eCoronado.com spoke to his riding companion and she said that a car failed to stop and crossed Glorietta Blvd in front of the rider. The rider hit the car and was knocked to the ground. Coronado Fire and Police responded and the injured rider was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

As a reminder to drivers, please be aware of the bicycle lanes around Coronado and especially the riders. As Summer approaches there will be a lot more pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the roads.
