PAWS Pet of the Week: Meet Chester

Chester is an 8 year old male, a bright orange and white DSH. This gentleman is the biggest love. Affection is no tall order for this boy; it just comes naturally.Immediately, he will meet, greet and treat you with his kindness and good will. His life has been outside, taken in my a senior man who has since died. The healing boo boos on his nose are from chronic sunburn, a negative result from his life outdoors. He’s a boy worth getting to know. Take the time and feel the love this beautiful boy has to offer.Chester does have some special needs which are completely manageable. Please consider letting this kind spirit into your heart and home. It will be worth every moment.

You can get to know Chester and other furry friends needing homes at the Coronado Animal Care Facility.

Visit the Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) located on 1395 First Street, next to the Ferry Landing.

Hours of operation are 9am – 4pm, EVERY DAY but major holidays.

All cats and dogs will have had their spay/neuter, current immunizations and microchip upon adoption.

You can find a complete list of adoptable animals on our websites, pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com.

We desperately need help in finding foster families. From time to time, we get animals that don’t do well in the shelter environment and are best served in a home environment while awaiting adoption. Please inquire on our website about possible volunteer opportunities. It may prove to be the most rewarding experience of your life.
