The Coronado Police Department is investigating a single vehicle traffic collision that occurred at 9:45pm at the 900 block of Glorietta Blvd between Vista Place and Monterey Avenue that resulted in the death of one male juvenile and injury to two additional male juveniles. All three were occupants of a pick-up truck that struck a tree along the east side of Glorietta Blvd. One of the injured males was released after being treated and the second injured male remains in the hospital for observation.
According to the medical examiner, the victim is identified as 17-year-old Dylan Bunker, a student at Coronado High School. Bunker was a front seat passenger in the pickup. He was taken to UCSD Medical Center where he died.
The Coronado Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact (619) 522-7350.
