Support BBMAC at CUSD Board Meeting (081109)

Show your support for the BBMAC at CUSD board meeting on Tuesday, August 11th at 6:00pm. BBMAC Family: Next Tuesday, the CUSD School Board will consider and may act on the future of the Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex at a special School Board meeting. The School Board may make a decision to close or severely restrict the use of the facility to CUSD entities. The district superintendent is on the record saying that if the facility is closed to CUSD, he will recommend to the board that all aquatics activities, including High School Water Polo and Swimming, be canceled. In addition to requests for financial support, which a small group you have responded to, this is your opportunity to voice your support for continuing use of the BBMAC for CUSD activities. Please note that the meeting time on the CUSD web site is 6:00 PM and is at not the usual CUSD board meeting start time of 5:30 PM. I have confirmed that start time of 6:00 PM personally with CUSD Superintendent Dr Jeff Felix. Finally I would like to thank all of the 283 supporters who attended our second Dive-In Movie night this past Saturday. Please make plans to attend our third Dive-In Movie on August 22. We will be featuring “Ghostbusters.” While the movie start time is 8:00 PM, the Family Fun festivities begin at 6:00 PM. It is the last summer weekend before school begins on August 25 so come out and enjoy catching up on summer activities with your friends and neighbors. And please do invite all your friends and neighbors so we can spread the good word about the jewel that is BBMAC. Clayton’s Restaurant will be offering food for sale and Coldstone Creamery will once again offer some frozen dessert treats. Just remember, two events, the CUSD board meeting on the 11th of August and the Family Fun/Dive-In Movie night on the 22nd of August. Both start at 6:00 PM.
