Man who killed wife was street performer

SAN DIEGO — A knife-wielding man who stabbed his wife to death and then died in a hail of police gunfire Friday might be better known around the county as “Trick Tony,” a magician and children’s entertainer who performed in Balboa Park and at libraries and birthday parties. Neighbors and family members are reeling from the violent deaths of Willard “Tony” Bradley, 51, and his wife, Gail Bradley, 50, a travel agent who specialized in cruises. “She was a wonderful person – very kind and very helpful,” Gail Bradley’s mother, Bobbie Cassling, said yesterday from Arizona. Gail Bradley called 911 shortly before 9 a.m. Friday, saying her husband had a knife and was suicidal.
