Cops and Robbers: Thieves Get Into Garages (4/12/17-4/19/17)

Thanks to the City of Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

CRIMES

4/19/17: Report of Domestic Violence at Unknown Location
Two subjects were involved in a verbal argument which did not involve physical contact.

4/19/17: Petty Theft near 600 block of D Avenue
Unknown suspect took unsecured skateboard from Coronado High School. The value of the skateboard was estimated at $100. There were no witnesses to the incident nor suspect description.

4/18/17: Grand Theft Property near 1200 block of 1st Street
Victim locked his bicycle to a parking meter outside and entered the location. Approximately 20 minutes later, victim returned to the parking meter and his bicycle and lock were no longer there. The total estimated loss of the bicycle and lock is approximately $1,630.00.

4/18/17: Attempted Burglary of the Second Degree near 1200 block of 3rd Street
Unknown suspects gained entry into victim’s unattached garage by using an unknown pry tool. Due to various furniture items inside the garage, the suspects were not able to fully access the garage. The property damage to the door was estimated at $200. There was no reported property loss at the time of the report.

4/17/17-4/18/17: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 800 block of I Avenue
Unknown subjects attempted to remove two wood slats which were nailed to the back yard fence at victim’s residence.

4/17/17: Petty Theft near 400 block of 4th Street
Unknown suspects stole two bicycles which had been locked to a tree in front of the victim’s residence with a cable lock.

4/16/17-4/17/17: Fraudulent Use of Access Card or Account Information
Unknown suspects fraudulently used victim’s credit card information in the San Francisco area.

4/16/17: Burglary of the Second Degree near 400 block of Ocean Court
Suspect entered the garage at location from the alley and took two drills.

4/16/17: Violation of Court Order to Prevent Domestic Violence
Suspect texted and came within 100 yards of victim in violation of a valid and served Superior Court of California, County of San Diego restraining order.

4/15/17: Unspecified Burglary near 1100 block of 1st Street
Unknown suspects entered the victim’s residence, through the opened front door and took the victim’s computer, which was valued at approximately $1900.

4/15/17: Receive Known Stolen Property near 1100 block of Adella Avenue
In November of 2016, victim’s bicycle was stolen and located at unknown residence five months later. The bicycle value was $295.91.

4/14/17: Indecent Exposure near 900 block of Orange Avenue
Unknown subject loitered around Clayton’s Café and the city bus stop. Multiple witnesses observed the suspect exposing himself in plain view.

4/12/17-4/13/17: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 700 block of D Avenue
Unknown suspects slashed the front passenger tire of victim’s vehicle. Additionally, the suspects scratched the passenger side front and rear door panel with an unknown object. Damage is estimated at $4,250.

4/17/17: Driving While License Suspended for DUI – Misdemeanor near 1400 block of 4th Street
22 year old male

4/16/17: Possession of a Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor near 5500 block of Silver Strand Boulevard
33 year old male

4/14/17: Possession of Marijuana (28.5 g or less) – Infraction near 800 block of 1st Street
15 year old male

4/14/17: Smoking In Unenclosed Areas – Infraction near 800 block of 1st Street
15 year old male

4/14/17: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 7th Street and Orange Avenue
59 year old female

4/14/17: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 600 block of Orange Avenue
