The Coronado Rotary Club is hosting its Rotary Music Scholarship Competition which will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club. The competition is open to high school students either attending Coronado High School or living in Coronado who are in grades 9-12 and who demonstrate musical talent and love for instrumental music.
Applications and video submissions are due by Dec. 14, 2023. Once selected from the submitted audition, prize money will be awarded to all competitors at every level of competition (Club, Regional, and District Finals). Prizes for local club competition: 1st $200, 2nd $125, 3rd/4th $75.
The winner or winners selected by Coronado Rotary will advance to the regional competition. Dates for the regional competition are not yet firm. The winner of the regional competition advances to the District 5340 Finals. First prize for the District 5340 Finals is $2500 and all other finalists will be awarded $500. There is no entry fee for the District 5340 Finals.
