Over 31,000 square feet of central Coronado commercial property is for sale, including operating interest in the La Avenida Inn. The retail space is almost 16,000 square feet and the 30-room boutique hotel comprises the other 15,000. The retail portion is the building at the corner of Orange Avenue and B Avenue (1301-1309 Orange Ave and 1047 and 1053 B Ave) that currently houses Bistro d’Asia, Bruegger’s Bagels, Earth Wind & Sea, Stake Chophouse, Cotier and Islander Realty.
The property, advertised as La Avenida Trophy Portfolio is listed by CBRE. The retail side and the hotel are being offered either together or separately.
In March of 2017, almost 30,000 sq feet of Coronado retail building space was sold for $22 million to Kleege Enterprises. That deal has resulted in the closure of numerous Coronado businesses including El Cordova Garage, Island Surf, Forget Me Not, and most recently Costa Azul; with expected closures and changes coming to the block. Two of the CBRE advisors on the Kleege deal, Tim Kuruzar and Ken McLeod, are also listed as contacts for the La Avenida Trophy Portfolio.
