The Coronado Rotary Club recently hosted Naval Base Coronado Senior Chief Petty Officer Reggie Leake (CSCS) and Culinary Specialist First Class Petty Officer (CS1) Damitri Green. Senior Chief Leake introduced CS1 Green whose dedication to excellence has been essential to the overall readiness of the largest food service operation in Navy Region Southwest with six separate galleys serving over 2,400 nutritious and well-balanced meals. Petty Officer Green’s “One Team, One Fight” leadership abilities have been instrumental to the overall success of his Sailors and instrumental to all Naval Base Coronado Galleys receiving the 2018 CNIC Five Star Accreditation for Food Service Excellence.

Petty Officer Green’s stand-out presence has promoted confidence and has ensured maximum trust from his peers and the chain of command. CS1 Green’s passion for mentorship is exceptional; it has given him the reputation as an expert source of guidance and counseling amongst his peers and subordinates. He also volunteers to facilitate indoctrination and leadership courses while motivating Sailors to continue pursuing a college education.
