Threat to Coronado Schools was Online Hoax

An email threat that was non-specific to Coronado was received by the Coronado School District. The District contacted the Coronado Police Department and safety precautions were immediately put into place. We soon learned that at least four other school districts in San Diego County received the same email threat.

We are in contact with the FBI and believe this is part of a hoax that went nationwide overnight.

Coronado Schools were not placed on lockdown.
