“Foods of Love” Menu at Bluewater Boathouse

Bluewater Boathouse to Court Romantics with a New Valentine’s-inspired Menu in February

Guests can create their own love-inducing menu at Feb. 7 tasting events and throughout the month.

Bluewater’s “Foods of Love” celebration every February that tests the aphrodisiacal qualities of oysters and champagne has become so popular that Executive Chef Jason Mazur has expanded it this year into a special three-course menu served as a tasting event and throughout the month.

“Bluewater’s Foods of Love” on Feb. 7 at Bluewater Grill, Bluewater Avalon and Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill restaurants in Southern California and Phoenix starts with Domain Ste. Michelle Brut or Mionetto Prosecco Italian sparkling wine but then lets romantics create their own menu of love-inducing favorites.

Mazur’s starter choices include Oysters on the Half Shell with Shallot Mignonette, Panko Fried Oysters or Baby Green Salad with Sugared Squash, which is followed by a choice of Steak with Crab Risotto or Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi. For dessert. guests decide between Salted Butterscotch Pot de Crème or Chocolate Lava Cake with Raspberry Coulis. Those opting for the Steak with Crab Risotto can make it a Valentine’s Surf & Turf by adding an 11-oz. Lobster Tail for an additional $30

This month’s tasting event, typically the second Tuesday, has been moved to Feb. 7. Featuring seasonal seafood specialty items paired with hand-selected champagnes, wines or specialty draught beers, the events have become a popular monthly diversion for local seafood aficionados and Bluewater’s large fan base in each neighborhood.

The cost of “Bluewater’s Foods of Love” is $35 per person, and reservations are required for Feb. 7 sittings at each restaurant starting at 6:30 p.m.

Seafood fans unable to attend the special Feb. 7 celebrations can order the three-course menu throughout February for $40 with champagne or $35 without.
