I have known Carrie Downey since I moved to Coronado two years ago. I met her through my daughter, who is employed as a planner at SANDAG, the regional transportation and planning agency. Based on her extensive body of work as a Coronado City Council member and as the Crown City’s representative on the SANDAG Board of Directors, I have concluded that Carrie is the best qualified person to serve as our next mayor.

Carrie listens carefully to the people of our community and works hard to achieve consensus with her colleagues on the City Council in order to best serve the interests of all of us. As a resident of the area near Third and Fourth Streets, I appreciate her efforts to make this corridor safer for pedestrians and cyclists, both during the day and at night. I have cast my ballot for Carrie Downey; I encourage all residents who care about our city’s future to do likewise.
