This summer Coronado Recreation is offering seven different varieties of Science and Technology Camps! For children who like to try out all kinds of science experiments, mix explosions and measure action and reaction, the Weird Science Camp Aug 1st-3rd is for them. For a bit of science, technology, engineering and art, there is a STEAM Explorers Camp August 9th-11th that features investigations, field trips to hands-on-museums and other process-finding activities. For younger children (ages 6-8) there is a Jr Rangers Camp August 8th-12th where campers can explore the natural world around them and an Inside Out Camp August 1st-5th to explore how Feelings and Emotions Work.
For budding engineers who like to build and manipulate, there are seven weeks of different Engineering Camps that use Legos to build Star Wars Ships, Superhero Homes and MineCraft Buildings.
If your child is quickly becoming a computer genius, have them sign up for a week of Video Game Design or Minecraft Modding Camp. With seven weeks of these camps offered, your junior programmer can learn to speak the language of computers as they create projects from Superheroes to Harry Potter to Star Wars to their favorite video games using a simple programming tool. Lastly, July 25-29th there is a Jedi Robotics Camp, where builders program robotics from a galaxy far, far away.
