In the past month, six Jeep Wranglers and Jeep Rubicons have been stolen from Coronado. Car thieves are targeting the sport vehicles and may be casing neighborhoods specifically looking for them parked on the street or in driveways. You can help us catch these criminals by calling 522-7350 if you see suspicious activity.
To prevent your car from being stolen, think about layers of security. One of these tips could be helpful, but implementing all of them is the best way to keep your vehicle safe:
*Park the vehicle inside the garage
*Lock the vehicle at all times and close the windows
*Use an alarm
*Purchase a steering wheel locking device
*Use a kill-switch (most auto repair shops can install)
*Purchase a tracking device
