February 28th‘s Coronado Roundtable meeting featured remarks from the Commanding Officer of the USS Coronado (LCS 4) Gold crew, Navy Commander Shawn Johnson. Roundtable members and guests who braved the heavy showers to attend were presented with an excellent talk about the third U.S. Navy ship to carry the name of our City. At the meeting CDR Johnston gave a lively, detailed account of the USS Coronado. Susan Keith, the ship’s sponsor was introduced, while Vice Admiral Edward Martin discussed the ship’s commissioning ceremony which will be held at North Island Naval Air Station on April 5th.
