This is sort of an explanation of my process, and for the way art works, in case you’re curious. With the effect a spiral creates for you, the viewer, your mind tunes out the imperfections of what is actually on the coast. Because, technically my painting is inaccurate. I used various pictures on the web, from air shots, to beach ground shots–I compiled them in my mind, then sketched, then painted.
