CORONADO, CA (February 3, 2012) The California Department of Transportation, which manages State Highways 75 and 282 in Coronado, reports that beginning Monday, work crews will be repairing potholes and making other street repairs along Orange Avenue and on Third Street.
Traffic will be impacted by the work. Workers are expected to close some lanes while the work proceeds. Caltrans hopes to finish the work in one week.
Plans call for street work on Monday and Tuesday, February 6-7, which will close Lane 3 (counting from left) on Third Avenue after it crosses Orange Avenue and heads toward Naval Air Station North Island. Lane 4 on Third before the intersection will be required to turn right onto Orange while the work is underway.
From Wednesday through Friday, February 8-10, crews will be working to repair potholes in front of the Coronado Public Library, 640 Orange Avenue; at the intersection of Orange and Fourth Street; and on Orange Avenue between Eight and Ninth streets.
