Fast start boosts Coronado to regional soccer title
Coronado’s Ali Culora scored in the first 10 seconds and the Islanders cruised to a 3-0 shutout of La Jolla on Friday in the Division II championship game of the Southern California Regional at Warren High in Downey.
“The whole season I was wanting to score,” said Culora, who delivered her first goal of the season in the last game of her high school soccer career. “I knew I needed to bring it all on the field.”
