Celebration honoring the life and times of Capt. C. R. “Johnny” Johnson, USN Fighter Pilot

On April 16, 2011 there will be a celebration honoring the life and times of Capt. C. R. “Johnny” Johnson, USN Fighter Pilot. Capt. Johnson will be the Featured Pilot from March 26 to May 6 in the “Heroes of Sea & Air” Spotlight Case in the “Wings of Gold” exhibit at CHA celebrating 100 years of Naval Aviation
The Coronado Historical Association
Museum of History & Art
1100 Orange Ave.
Coronado, CA 92118

Capt. Johnson was one of the most highly decorated combat pilots in the Navy.

We are getting together to honor him and share stories. No one loved stories more than “Johnny” or “Buddha” as his men sometimes called him
2-4 p.m View exhibits at CHA. Many of the exhibit pieces in the main exhibition
are from the Capt. C.R. Johnson collection.
4-6 p.m. Walk across the street to Costa Azul Restaurant to share stories and remembrances with each other.

This will be a no-host event so you will be asked to make a small donation to the museum in lieu of an entrance fee. The get together at Costa Azul is a no-host event so each of us will be individually responsible for any drinks or food we order.

Everyone is welcome.
