IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. Sailors from tenant commands at Naval Base Coronado (NBC) gathered at the Naval Outlying Field Imperial Beach Commissary to receive complimentary Thanksgiving food baskets Nov. 18 as part of the commissary’s 8th annual “Thanksgiving Giveaway.”
A total of 200 baskets, which were provided by donations from 15 local vendors, were presented by Capt. Yancy B. Lindsey, NBC commanding officer, and Command Master Chief Kenneth Shivers, NBC command master chief, during a mid-morning ceremony.
