Hello Friends, Family, and Co-Workers.
It is time for the Walu International’s 2nd Annual “Potty Training for Countries” fundraiser in association with Emerald City’s re-grand opening party. On Thursday, September 30th, Walu International and Emerald City are having a fundraiser at the W Hotel in downtown San Diego to raise $75,000 to educate villagers in Papua New Guinea about improving their sanitary conditions. Currently, the villagers are using the beach as their toilet and drinking bacteria infested water. As a result, one in six children that die in Papua New Guinea die from diarrhea related diseases attributed to poor sanitation. We want to put an end to these preventable diseases. The $75,000 raised will enable an educational process within the villages that will last longer than any immunization and it will exponentially grow over generations!
Our event will be on two main floors at the W Hotel (Including the rooftop deck “The Beach”) and will feature:
-Live auction items- surfboards, paintings, and much more.
-Silent auction- gift certificates, watches, apparel, artwork, autographed sports memorabilia, and a few surprises you don’t want to miss!
-$25 at the door that goes straight to the cause
-Happy hour drink specials all night!
-Music by DJ Flesch
-Film premier of Walu International’s documentary “Where’s Walu?”
Any cash donations from individuals are welcome and minimum donation for businesses is $100 in cash or prizes. These donations will be silent auction items and will be visible to the 400+ attendees at the event! The deadline for sponsorship is 5pm Wednesday, September 15th.
If you are unable to attend the event, but still want to help us reach our fundraising goal of $75,000 to help others live a more sanitary lifestyle:
