Lee Mather Co., Realtors just announced their newest acquisition and investment in Coronado’s future, a young realtor named James Nelson.

“We’re very excited to have Jim on our team,” said Debbie Riddle, one of the company partners. “He brings such a fresh look to our organization and I am very excited to be working with him.” Nelson, 26, joined Team Riddle March 1, 2010.

An avid skier, surfer and architectural photographer, Nelson hails from Ventura. The 2005 graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara has built an extensive list of credentials and people skills over the past five years, including four years at various destination resorts in Park City and San Diego.

“Jim’s years working in the hospitality industry have given him an invaluable learning experience,” said Riddle. “Working with the public requires practice. Those people skills are easily transferable to our industry. Jim’s market knowledge includes residential and income property is Metro San Diego and he is fast familiarizing himself with the Coronado market.

“When I met Jim I was immediately impressed with his focus,” said Riddle. “He is very clear about his objectives in life. That, coupled with a strong work ethic, is an unbeatable combination.”

Since 1953 Lee Mather Co., Realtors has demonstrated an astute ability to grow and change with the times. Riddle attributes that success to attitude, enthusiasm, character and integrity. “Jim overflows with those attributes. All else can be taught,” said Riddle. “I believe that our clients will find themselves to be in good hands when working with Jim.”

Nelson is rapidly absorbing the charm and history of the Coronado community. “I love the fact that Coronado is such a small beach community,” said the former Eagle Scout. “It’s not unlike my hometown of Ventura. I’ve been spending all my spare time exploring. I love everything about this village, from the ocean and the people, to the restaurants and the weekly garage sales. It really is a special place and I’m thrilled to be here.”
