See a promo video for Coronado Idol 2009 here. Coronado Idol returns for a second season on March 18th, 2009 at the Coronado Schools Foundation 21st Annual Telethon. The show will be broadcast live by Time Warner Cable on Channel 19 from 5-9 PM. For the first time in Telethon history, each hour of the show will be hosted by a different Coronado school site. Celebrity host Jane Mitchell will be joined by school administrators and over 1000 students as they showcase the very best of our talented youth. This year promises to be better than ever with record numbers of elementary students performing and more acts being written and taped by our middle and high school students. The event takes place at Coronado High School, 650 D Ave, where the fun spills out into the Quad. The solo stage will return where, for a donation of $25 to CSF, you will be able to perform live for the crowd. The senior class will also host their annual BBQ and other food options will be available. In order to make this event a success, we rely on the generous support of our local community. Limited business opportunities are still available, both partnerships and concessions on the night. In addition, we need volunteers to help us on the night, either inside at the Telethon or out in the Quad. Anyone interested in volunteering at the event is encouraged to contact Kathleen Wakefield at 619.437.8059 or email at [email protected].
