Take part in an amazing Hawaiian Cultural experience at the Coronado Recreation Department’s Outrigger Paddling Camp. Youth will learn the fundamentals of paddling a Hawaiian outrigger canoe including the role of each paddler, canoe care, safety procedures, rigging and stroke techniques. Paddlers will learn about team work, responsibility, and build self-confidence. Plus, they will learn Hawaiian terminology and culture. This camp is sponsored and instructed by Coronado Outrigger and is offered for youth ages 10 – 17 at the Coronado Clubroom and Boathouse on Glorietta Bay located at 1985 Strand Way.
