CORONADO – Fat fighting machines are getting the green light. The Food and Drug Administration is approving machines that either freeze or shrink the fat away.
Swirling laser lights circle around a woman’s stomach at a Coronado cosmetic clinic. The procedure looks like a futuristic operation, but this technology is here now. The FDA is approving a tool called Zerona.
“The FDA stamp of approval makes patients feel more comfortable,” said Dr. Jeffry Schafer, the head of New Image Cosmetic Surgery in Coronado.
