CHS Girls’ Water Polo Takes Loss Against Newport Harbor High School 4-11

Last Tuesday, the girls’ varsity water polo team kicked off their season against Newport Harbor High School. A talented team from Orange County, they defeated Coronado by seven goals, with a final score of 4-11. Grace Harbaugh scored two goals for Coronado, while Abby Sylvester and Reese Oliver each scored one goal. “This was a great opening to our 2017-18 season,” says Coach Alicia Began. “Through playing them, we were able to identify our top areas for growth.”

The Varsity team will have two home games this week at the BBMAC pool.

  • Wednesday, December 6 vs. Foothill High School at the BBMAC @ 4:00 PM
  • Friday, December 8 vs. Valhalla High School at the BBMAC @ 4:15 PM
