CHP Says Driver in Chicano Park Fatal Crash was Going 81 mph on Coronado Bridge

The driver whose pickup launched off the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and landed in Chicano Park, killing four people in October, was speeding at 81 mph before he lost control of the truck, an officer testified Thursday.

The speed limit on north Interstate 5 onto the bridge is 65 mph, California Highway Patrol Officer Justin Snider said.
