Last night, Coronado High School’s Boys Varsity Lacrosse (16-6) team played at San Marcos against La Costa Canyon High School (18-2) in the CIF Open Division Championship. The Islanders lost 9-10 against La Costa (entire game video available above). This is the third title in four years for La Costa Canyon.
It was an incredibly close game and the winning shot from La Costa Canyon came with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Coronado’s Nick DeMaio led the Islanders with three goals.
