This morning around 8:40 a.m., lifeguards and police officers responded to a call of a 30 ft. sailboat that washed ashore near Dog Beach. Vessel assist was called and they were attempting to remove the boat, however, due to rising tides, they were unable to tow it out safely. They are currently working with the registered owner to remove it later this evening when the tide rises. The boat came loose from it’s mooring near Zuniga jetty.
