Suicide Crisis Phone on Coronado Bridge Repaired

SAN DIEGO – A suicide crisis phone near the Coronado Bridge was back in service Thursday.

On Wednesday, 10News reported that the phone has been dead, out of service for an unknown amount of time.

In response to the story, Caltrans told 10News Thursday that the phone had been repaired. An AT&T technician on scene said it was fixed.

The Coronado Bridge ranks among the top five bridges in North America for committing suicide. More than 200 people have jumped to their deaths there.
