SAN DIEGO — Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR) 57 is scheduled to host children from Make-A-Wish San Diego for a “Holiday Salute” at the squadron’s headquarters on Naval Air Station North Island Dec. 7.
Now in its fifth year, the annual event invites Make-A-Wish children and their families to interact with service members from the Navy and Marine Corps while celebrating the holiday season.
The event includes tours of various aircraft, as well as static displays provided by local U.S. Marine Corps and Navy commands, a visit with military working dogs, a Holiday party, and an appearance by Santa.
VR-57 is proud of this partnership with Make-A-Wish and the opportunity to share what they love with these amazing children.
