Boone is a male, chocolate brown Retriever variety. Trying to pin his breed down, he has the look of a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. With his elongated, broad snout, there may be some hound dog influence in his lineage. He’s a young gentle giant, about one year old and 86 pounds. Calm and loving, this dog would be great with kids. Nothing seems to rile him; he’s just a guy along for whatever you feel like doing. Boone is content to amble along on his walks, always patient with whatever pace is set by his company. With his nose to the ground, he’s a dog that comes in handy when you can’t find something. Boone does have one request. “Can I please have real grass to do my business on?” The artificial turf at the Coronado Animal Care Facility has him baffled. Boone would make a great companion to anyone who will love him and give this boy the kind attention he deserves. He’s a kind, sweet soul and will reward you many times over for giving him that chance for a happy home.
