‘Tanaka Graffiti’ Hits Coronado School and City Property

Multiple stop signs, parking signs, intersection signs and at least one tennis court sign were tagged with the image of Mayor Casey Tanaka. The graffiti reported was found outside the CHS tennis courts, Palm Academy and Coronado High School. Most of the instances were near the intersection of 6th Street and D Avenue.

We contacted Coronado High School earlier this morning and they were not aware of the graffiti. They said that they would contact the custodian to have it removed. We have also contacted the Coronado police who were sending an officer to evaluate this crime.
